Does any one else think it should be mandatory for trucks to have the cable attached, make it a rule that if you want to run, you have to have the cable attached. Or if you refuse to run with it attached, you have to get out and hook the cable to your truck yourself. It gets really crappy, and eats up alot of time sitting around waiting for a truck to get pulled out after getting stuck and they dont have the cable attached.

I agree about the cable let them do it there self . I would also like to say i think when the first 5 of the 38 class went the tractor was snatching people out to fast and hard. It was an awesome nudrun.

x3 on hooking the cable. I know alot of these guys have a whole bunch of confidence in their truck but the crowd shouldn't be made to pay for their fantasies ;D. a couple of more ideas I'd like to throw out there; if the mud hole is 200' get a cable that's 250' and the tractor won't have to back too far into the pit to hook up or have to have someone to get into the pit to drag the cable out. KEEP SPECTATORS OUT OF STAGING at least out of the area that leads up to the pit and where the tractor moves back and forth. I saw several times somebody had to move people out of the path of the tractor backing up or trucks pulling up to the starting line. A cable pulling tight could cause a serious injury. These are just some thoughts i had and my .02 worth. Had a great time, it was a good show. Thanks Collins and staff keep up the good work.

Just a cable, strap or chain is danderous period. I highly doubt there to be enough force at the mud run when pulling out of the pit to snap the cable, but it it does ever decide to, look out, it could be bad. I would like to note though, this past event still the same thing, asking the guys if they wanna use the cable or not, I still think it should be mandatory to have it hooked.
